I found the title of an article that I like, but it isn't available in full-text. What can I do?
Answer
Once you've located an article by searching a library database, follow these steps to access the full text:
- Check to see if there is a link to a PDF or HTML webpage with full text. These links have different names and locations depending on the database you are searching.
-
If an article has a link to "Full Text Finder," the library may have full text in a different location. Clicking the link will take you from the database record to the online full text finder.
-
If it is unavailable it will suggest you send a request through Interlibrary Loan.
-
If the title has some full-text, note the dates available. Database title links will take your to a Table ofContents for the journal, where you can use your citation to locate the article.
-
If you're not sure if we own the article, or need help researching, Ask a Librarian.
